Went out to find the boys – huge, and I mean huge swells as we rounded the southwest corner of the island, so tough to spot anything among the white horses. Almost giving up after dark when we spot a little light – and there they were! In cracking form firing flares and chatting across an expanse of black mountains of water – broke the news about the extended row to Port Louis which they took surprisingly well. Returned to Marina La Balise and guess what? The lovely man we’d met the previous day in Customs House (the very grandest fromage) was there with the Coastguards waiting to welcome the boys! Sadly too late but the PMO and embassies have certainly placed le chat entre les pigeons!!
